we have already made
We will:
- abolish Andrew Barr’s GP tax
- hold a Royal Commission into our health system
- establish a gynaecology oncology unit
- engage contractors to reduce colonoscopy and endoscopy wait lists
- explore retention measures for frontline health workers
- bring in defibrillators in schools and government buildings
- develop a men’s health plan
- not proceed with Stage 2B of the tram
- improve bus priority and upgrades between Belconnen and the city
- reinstate funding for road upgrades that were diverted to the tram
- not ban internal combustion engine cars
- repeal the drug decriminalisation laws
- amend bail laws to protect frontline workers
- undertake a review into bail and sentencing laws
- open a police station in Molonglo
- release Cabinet documents within 30 days of decision
- give more resources to the Integrity Commission, including telephone intercept powers
- review and audit government procurement processes
- undertake an independent audit of the ACT’s budget
- create a Minister for Housing Affordability and Choice
- release more land for detached Housing
- undertake a feasibility study into land at West Tuggeranong for housing
- work with the federal government to access CSIRO land for housing
- ease the tax and regulatory burden on rental properties
- overhaul the planning system to include more transparency and community consultations
- allow separately titled dual occupancies on RZ1 blocks
- support our teachers to use evidence-based methods to improve literacy and numeracy
- ban mobile phones in schools
- establish a town centre in Molonglo
- keep Stromlo Forest Park free and accessible
- invest more funding into improving our suburbs
- explore new ways to improve water quality in our lakes and waterways
- not ban gas
- not ban woodfire heaters
- explore options for a city stadium and convention centre
