Hi, I am Sarah Luscombe, your local Liberal candidate for Kurrajong.

I am a mother of three (now adult) children and, after living here in Canberra for 23 years, I want to continue contributing to our community.

Over the past 35 years, I have had an extensive career in project and program delivery across private industry and government, including IT, cybersecurity, defence security and capability management – most recently, for the defence industry and as a small business owner.

My focus is on you – the individuals, families, and business owners who make our country great.

I am passionate about addressing cost-of-living pressures, and providing high-quality, affordable housing opportunities for Canberrans.

As a small business owner, I know first-hand that we need to revitalise small business growth and investment in the ACT.

I escaped domestic violence when my children were young and started from scratch here in this wonderful city. I know how challenging it is for families, single parents and children experiencing this trauma and starting over, and I will be supporting all efforts to combat homelessness and domestic violence in our community.

That’s why I am committed to a fresh opportunity for Canberra and the delivery of Canberra Liberals’ policies to make our city even better:

  • A fairer, more transparent rates system
  • Targeted cost of living relief packages – to ease the pressures Canberrans’ face with everyday expenses
  • Providing free public transport for those that need it most
  • Delivering Rego Rebates / Household Electricity Bill Rebates / Back to School Vouchers / Creative and Active Kids Vouchers
  • Investment in high-quality and affordable housing that will keep pace with population growth, community changes, and environmental expectations
  • Advocating for increased investment in our police force and strong domestic violence and homelessness services
  • Supporting local businesses through financial and cybersecurity challenges
  • Improving Canberra’s suburbs and town centres through community-funded projects
